Bolt Tune up

Do you have a high round count bolt in need of some TLC?  Did you just finish an intense training course that pushed your carbine to its limit?  Consider a bolt tune-up to ensure your carbine is running optimally.

The bolt is the heart of your firearm.  It is also one component that is very susceptible to high stresses and premature wear and tear.  Starting at $69.99, our bolt tune-up service inspects your bolt for damage and wear that can lead to issues down the road and replaces common high wear parts to ensure your carbine won’t falter when you need it most.

Our bolt tune-up service includes:

  • Checking the bolt lugs and body for cracks.
  • Checking the bolt face for pitting or defects.
  • Checking the firing pin for free movement in the bolt.
  • Checking the firing pin tip for erosion.
  • Checking that firing pin retaining pin isn’t bent or damaged.
  • Checking  the cam pin for cracks, excessive wear or damage.
  • Remove excessive carbon build up from the bolt tail without using aggressive scraping tools that can contribute to premature wear of our bolt.
  • Reverse torque test on gas key fasteners to ensure proper torque on the gas key.

The following components are automatically replaced as part of any bolt tune-up service and included in the service price:

  • Extractor
  • Extractor Spring with a 5 coil, copper colored spring and black insert
  • Extractor Pin
  • Ejector
  • Ejector Spring
  • Ejector Roll Pin
  • Gas Rings

* An additional parts charge will apply for components not listed above that require replacing.
